Where did the time go???

It's amazing how fast time really does go by!!! I purchased a new computer and found that I haven't been on here since I left Meadview in May of 09! A lot has changed; some good, some bad. But mostly for the better! Do you ever think what your life will be like in a couple of years, then your there and you look back at that thought and realize that you are no where near what you thought you would be, in location, jobs, or relationships!

Trip to Irvine CA to see Erin

BIG TRIP TO MALIBU CREEK STATE PARK.
I found out MASH was filmed there, and THE PLANET OF THE APES.
We had a blast, drove down the Pacific Hwy 1, got stuck in a traffic jam,,,, spent an hour people watching from the car... we did get to see the ocean.
To Bright outside,,, I need my sunglasses!! Do you know how hard it is to take pictures of yourselves!!
We had to walk to the visitor center, about a mile. It couldn't be in the parking lot.
So on the way back we took a short cut to get back. Here we are crossing the raging river... didn't know I was going to have to hike out.
Don't loose your shoes!! Flip flops don't do good on loose stones.
Yes, glasses..
It was nice and cool there. I spent Wed & Thurs in Phx, and it was hot. I left for Irvine on Friday morning at 8 am.. yes, I got lost and it took me 8 hours to go 5.. but I did do some sight seeing on the way! (sure!).. In defense of my driving, I made it back in 5 hours.... lol

See Mt.Charles in the top photo?
View's from the Overview off of Pierce Ferry Road. Just north of Meadview Blvd.
You can't really see the lake in this one.

Mason & Logan's First Soccer Game... 9-20-08

Grandkids.... Mason and Logan's first soccer game!! They didn't even get to practice!! I don't think Logan was as excited about the whole thing as Mason was. Of course this was the "first" time for them. Hopefully he will like it next week.

Robin's 1st Liquidation Adventure

As most of you know, Real Estate is extremely slow!!! Some of us do not have the pleasure to ride out the market and stay in the game. I for one have had to go on to other opportunities to make a living. I left here on August 10, and flew to Nashville TN. I went to work for a company that does Liquidations, and was hired as a "Start Up Person", meaning that the district was sloted for someone else, only they where not finished with their current job. So I went in to start the project for them and when they became available, they would take over. It was a great opportunity to get my foot in the door. I had a blast. I had never been East of the Mississippi river except in airports.. So to live in a "GREEN" state was something else. I had 6 stores to manage for Whitehall Jewelers. Reaching from Knoxville to Paris TN, and Madisonville to Somerset KY. On an average, I drove 1400 miles a week. AND GREEN, i could not get over how green the state was. Tree's that lined the highway at 200' tall. (Well, I didn't actually measure them, but they where alot taller than the power poles.) I had to learn how to drive in Nashville traffice and the weather!! "Ike" made it's way along my path, and a few other storms. Rain, well, I got plenty in TN. Not that I don't want any here in AZ, just don't really want to drive in it all that much. Here is another view, from my car!! I quit taking pictures, because they all started to look the same, from the seat of the car, as I drove by!! I didn't get to see the leaves change to their full color. They were starting though. I got to see small patches of gold and some red on my route to Somerset KY. This is the court house in the center of Paris Tn. Just a great little town. One Saturday on my way into town, nearly every other lawn was being mowed!! And were not talking small yards. At least 3 to 5 acre lots. This is a typical home in the area that I was staying. (Brentwood TN.) One day I drove to Franklin which was only 10 miles south of Brentwood. They had converted an old stove factory into a mall. With antiques and eateries. When I got there it was closed. One late Sunday afternoon. I got back to AZ, September 22. What a 6 week adventure. Met lots of great people. Drank a lot of Sweet Tea. Ate southern cooking, and just worked hard. I'm glad to be home and sit on our front patio. To watch the sunset on the Cliffs and to visit with friends and family. But I am ready to go again. I just have to wait for the call that sends me on my next liquidation adventure.
